Birthday Party and City Tour

Sunday evening we headed to the capital for Missionary Fellowship to celebrate Jerry's birthday. Good times around the table of delicious lasagna and carrot birthday cake.

His actual birthday is today...Happy Birthday Jerry!

Then Monday we were "tourists" as we joined Carol, a fellow missionary, and Esther, a friend of Carol's, for a city tour.

Among some of the things we visited were several outstanding architectural and old churches, exclusive residential colonias and contrasted poor colonias, and the presidential palace.

At the presidential palace, we found 0 km - for from here all roads commence.

It was sad as again we realize that many know of Jesus, but still see him as the dead Christ, not the living risen Lord who willingly forgives sins and freely offers an eternal home to all who believe, ask and receive His pardon.
