Exclusive? You are right! But...

Recently in a meeting, a fellow missionary shared the following.

She has been having Bible studies with some young men in their late teens to early twenties.  They are wrestling with the claims of Christ on their lives.

One young man said, "I understand this stuff about God.  I know there is a God and all that but this Jesus stuff, that's something else.  If this is all true, then it is exclusive."

"Yes," she said.  "it is exclusive.  You must receive Jesus as your only way of salvation and yield to His Lordship.  It is exclusive...but salvation is for Everyone."

God has placed special people in our lives that have been life impacters. 

 Preacher Leon and Ms. Peggy invested in our lives

by living out Jesus in our midst,

by being friends that touch the deepest parts of the heart,

by loving us unconditonally,

by feeding us physically and spiritually,

by praying for us and holding us up to the Father on a daily basis.

Bro. Leon preceded the journey to glory several years ago

but Ms. Peggy with her quiet and calm spirit continues to invest in lives

speaking godly counsel,

living holiness,

deeply loving family,

sharing friendships,

covering lives with impacting prayers.

Thank you dear friend for loving us.

Thank you dear friend for living victoriously in Christ.

Thank you dear friend for your investment.

Don't think it can be done?

Recently David took this photo to demonstrate parking dilemmas.

It just doesn't look possible, but, oh, it is.

With only a foot in front and maybe another foot in back,

one can go forward, reverse, turn a little, go forward, reverse,

turn a little, go forward, reverse...

and behold, straighten the wheel and drive away!

Another one of the adventures of driving in a foreign country.  Smile.

Another reason to pray for us as we travel throughout the land.

Now we understand.

Sweet Little Lady...

Yes, it is this little lady's birthday today.

Join in the celebration!!!

That is a milestone not many folks reach.

Atleast not in her family.

My mother, Christeen Jones Fields, was born in Dodge County, Georgia 93 years ago today.  She was born number 12 in a loving family of 15 - 5 boys and 10 girls.  Although 3 of the boys died early in life, the remaining 12 lived to become adults.  But Mom has reached the oldest age of any of them. Now only she and her youngest sister, Mary, remain.

During our stateside time in 2011, we were able to enjoy time together.

It was a foundation deep and sure upon which we could build our lives.

It was a heritage upon which our children could depend.
