This journey is perhaps one of my favorites. It is a long tedious journey taking about 7 hours but it keeps coming back to my mind and heart. There is such need in this area...such need. The early part of the journey finds several churches scattered along the way but the further back you travel the greater the need...no churches...no Bible studies...no Gospel witness. Who will go? Who will rise to take the Gospel?
As you leave the major road and travel past the school bilding pray again for the education of children. It is costly to educate the children but it will reap great reward for all the population...being able to read to the Bible and share the TRUTH with family and friends. Pray for a desire to learn.
Several churches are located along the way. Pray for the Truth to be given boldly bringing conviction of sin and unrighteousness causing many to place their faith in Jesus alone for salvation.
Pray for the encouragement and growth of the believers to be strengthened in knowledge of the Word and fortified for service.
Turn right at La Marimba and travel about a kilometer praying especially for Pastor Rigoberto Garcia who is discouraged. Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit on the dry lands. Pray for men to rise up to be leaders and men of God.
As you return back to the road, pray for the people along the road to desire the Bread of Life.
Continuing the journey, pray for the Spirit to rain down and satisfy the inner spiritual longings. Many don't even know for Whom or why they long. Pray for Knowledge and Truth.
Pray for the evil one to be bound from the hearts of these people.
Pray for Dos Quebrados and that solid spiritual work would grow and transform the lives of the people in this area.
Coming to Nearer, pray for the binding of error mixed with Truth. Pray that Light of the Gospel would shine brighter casting out the darkness of deception.
Pray for the growth of belivers in Rodeo. Pray that their witness would be strong and bring their friends and neighbors to righteous faith.
Pray in faith believing for this final area. This 20 kilometer loop has no Gospel witness.
Pray for strongholds to be brought down and that the Gospel will enter in Boldness bringing salvation to those who hear and receive.
Pray for two young boys we met while here. Pray they will hear the Gospel and believe and that they would be a strong light in their family.
