Memories...

Many, many years ago we began praying for a group of believers wanting to buy property to have a permanent place to worship. They were meeting in a restaurant that opened directly to the street. Our Baptist Women's group prayed along with them and I continued to follow the journey. David led many teams to Guatemala City over about 10 years to work on the construction of the church for that group of believers. What a JOY it was to worship with them today!

The Family of God Baptist Church...where love reigns.

As you watch the video, note the iron beams in the ceiling. What an EXPERIENCE to put THAT together!! Another missionary told us today at lunch about when he was helping one of those teams construct the ceiling...and nearly fell off a beam laughing at a joke one of the volunteers told. Ah yes, memories!

While sitting in Sunday School this morning we experienced our first earthquake in Guatemala...just little vibrations. Welcome to Guatemala!

WOW! How cool that you got to go to church there again in the finished building. I remember visiting it when we were all there in 1998. Seems like they were still working on it then. It looks GREAT! Good work, Dad! I always knew you were a "handy man".

Don't know about these earthquakes though... :)
